North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is a set of 2-6 digit codes agreed upon by the U.S., Canada and Mexico to describe various Industries and sub-Industries. NAICS was originally developed to
provide a consistent framework for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of industrial statistics
used by government policy analysts, by academics and researchers, by the business community, and
by the public. Revisions for 2022 were made to account for our rapidly changing economies.

This table contains covered employment by industry collected for the Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages (QCEW) report which publishes every NAICS industry for the more than 3,000 counties in the United States.Publicly available files include data on the number of establishments, monthly employment, and quarterly wages, by NAICS industry, by county, by ownership sector, for the entire United States. These data are aggregated to annual levels, to higher industry levels, including NAICS industry groups, sectors, and supersectors.
