DescriptionThe 15 TPRs include the 5 MPOs and 10 Rural TPRs - Pikes Peak, Denver Metro, North Front Range, Pueblo Area, Grand Valley, Eastern, Southeast, San Luis Valley, Gunnison Valley, Southwest, Intermountain, Northwest, Upper Front Range, Central Front Range and South Central.

The State of Colorado has been divided into 15 Transportation Planning Regions as set forth in CRS 43-1-1102 (8)(a), 43-1-1103 (5) (C.R.S.) and the Rules and Regulations for The Statewide Transportation Planning Process and Transportation Planning Regions (The Rules). Five of these are the Metropolitan Planning Areas. The remaining 10 rural Transportation Planning Regions are grouped in geographic contiguous areas with transportation commonalities comprised of Counties and all Municipalities within the counties of these given boundaries.

Adopted TPR boundaries as of 12/31/2015. This includes TPR boundaries affected by PPACG MPO and GV MPO boundary changes in 2015.

Description

The MPO planning area boundary represents the geographic area for which the MPO is responsible for transportation planning. The 5 MPOs in Colorado are Denver Regional Council of Governments, Grand Valley, North Front Range, Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments, and Pueblo Area Council of Governments.

Adopted MPO boundaries as of 12/31/2015. This includes boundaries adopted by PPACG and GV and the Governor in 2015.

This feature layer, utilizing National Geospatial Data Asset (NGDA) data from the U.S. Census Bureau (USCB), depicts Voting Districts (VTDs) in the United States and Puerto Rico. Per the USCB, "VTDs refer to the generic name for geographic entities, such as precincts,
wards, and election districts, established by state governments for the purpose
of conducting elections.”

This layer presents the 2020 U.S. Census County (or County Equivalent) boundaries of
the United States in the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

This layer is updated annually. The geography is sourced
from U.S. Census Bureau 2020 TIGER FGDB (National Sub-State) and edited using TIGER Hydrography to add a detailed coastline for cartographic purposes. Attribute fields include 2020 total population from the U.S. Census Public Law 94 data.

This ready-to-use layer can be used in ArcGIS Pro and in ArcGIS Online and its configurable apps, dashboards, StoryMaps, custom apps, and mobile
apps. The data can also be exported for offline workflows. Cite the 'U.S. Census Bureau' when using this data.

USA 118th Congressional Districts (All Territories) represents the original political boundaries for
the 118th U.S. Congress which began on January 3, 2023. A version of the congressional districts is available which includes any subsequent boundary changes for elections before the 119th U.S. Congress begins in January 2025.

The official
membership of this layer is current as of July 8, 2024.

The layer was made by joining the U.S. Census Bureau 118th Congressional District Block Equivalency Files to the 2020 U.S. Census Blocks National Geodatabase, and then editing using TIGER/Line Hydrography and NOAA National Shoreline to add a detailed coastline for cartographic purposes. The district membership field attributes are sourced from the Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives.

This
layer is updated at least twice a year. Esri also offers this data that does not include the U.S. territories.
