The Current Employment Statistics Program is a federal-state cooperative program. The CES survey is based on approximately 143,000 businesses and government agencies representing approximately 588,000 worksites throughout the United States.

Long Description
Employment estimates as reported by the Current Employment Statistics program, a monthly survey conducted by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The survey provides employment, hours, and earnings estimates based on payroll records of business establishments. Listed by FIPS code for state and nine (9) Metropolitan Statistical Areas in Colorado from 1990-2014: Pueblo, Fort Collins-Loveland, Colorado Springs, Denver-Aurora, Boulder-Longmont, Grand Junction, Greeley. Data is aggregated to 82 series title code for industry of employment, classified according to the 2012 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). Employee counts are actual, not in thousands. The CES survey is based on approximately 143,000 businesses and government agencies representing approximately 588,000 worksites throughout the United States. Data produced from the CES survey include nonfarm employment series for all employees, production and nonsupervisory employees, and women employees, average hourly earnings, average weekly hours, and average weekly overtime hours (in manufacturing industries) for all employees, production and nonsupervisory employees.
